Instruction
First, you need to soften butter in a large saucepan using medium heat. You need to add mushrooms, onion, and garlic; cook and stir till tender. Cook about 10 mins. Put some salt, pepper, and thyme; cook and mix till combined, about 1 min. Mix in chicken broth, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Then you need to minimize reduce the temperature to a low simmer and pour in sherry. Cook, constantly stirring, until flavors are well incorporated, about 45 mins.
