Baking cakes is one of the most beneficial things you can do in the kitchen. Today I decided to share some of my baking skills and advice with all of you. Here are some tips for baking that prepare a perfect cake with the least effort and best quality.

Ensure that its weight is accurate as too much sugar can lead to a dark crust. On the other hand, too little of it can lead to too much light.

  1. Make sure the ingredients are in the middle of the room temperature. If you have to take them out of the fridge, bake them for at least 60 minutes before baking.
  2. Make sure you only use fresh eggs. To test the consistency, set the egg in a pot of water. If you see the egg is sinking, then you can assume it is fresh. If not, or if it floats in water, do not use it because it is not new.
  3. To ensure that the weights of ingredients are appropriate, it is preferable to use a kitchen-scale.
  4. Always prefer to use a silicone baking mat. It will save on parchment paper and avoid all dirty laundry. This way also takes up a lot of your time.
  5. It is always better to bring your cold eggs from the refrigerator to room temperature immediately. For that, it is good to use lukewarm water and keep eggs in it for about 30 minutes. Lukewarm does not mean heat.
  6. Use the right amount of sugar. Ensure that its weight is accurate as too much sugar can lead to a dark crust. On the other hand, too little of it can lead to too much light. So, use the right amount.
  7. Use a pinch of salt to remove the sweetness from baked goods.
  8. Be sure to wait for the oven to the right level before placing the cakes in it. This step will ensure good results on your baked cakes.
  9. Make sure the cakes do not touch the sides of the oven. And if you place more than one cake in the oven, be sure to keep it in a safe place.
  10. Roll the cakes only after sitting in the oven for twenty minutes. Please never try to touch the cake by your self temptation before the 20-minute deadline.
  11. Too little time to freeze your cakes? Try sprinkling powdered sugar on your cakes. It tastes good and makes your cakes look good without having to spend a lot of time in the cold and finish.
